Dress Code Penalty
- Warning (Change of clothing if necessary)

- Half Day ISS (Referral for Insubordination) (Change of clothing if necessary)

- Full Day ISS (Referral for Insubordination) (Change of clothing if necessary)
Disciplinary Action: Options include but are not limited to, call to home requesting change of clothes, offer of change of loaner clothes from office, ISS, OSS, ineligibility to participate in extracurricular activities.
All clothing must be clean and in good condition with no holes, rips or tears. The school’s dress code has been established to promote safety, hygiene, discipline, prevent disruptions and to create an optimum learning environment. Final determination of acceptable dress and grooming rests with the building administration who reserves the right to determine whether a student’s attire is within the limits of decency and modesty.

CMS Dress Code
TOPS
- Short or long sleeve collared polo style shirts in any solid color. Only solid colors, no stripes or designs.
- Small brand name logos are acceptable.
- Tee shirts may be worn underneath polo shirts but must be tucked in.
- No tank-tops or crop-tops
- CMS Spirit t-shirts may be worn on any day. T-shirts must be purchased from Student Services
- T-shirts may be tucked in, worn loose, not tied or cinched
- No other jerseys or team shirts are to be worn unless approved by admin
- Tops must be below the waistband.
BOTTOMS
- For girls and boys, any style pant, capris, shorts, skirts, skorts or dresses in solid color are allowed that must be below the student’s fingertips when the arms are held straight at the sides or midthigh.
- No sagging of pants will be allowed. Underwear shall not be visible at any time.
- Plain solid color jeans are allowed (no holes, rips, designs, lettering, alterations or fading allowed).
- **NO sports shorts, yoga pants, leggings, jeggings, sweatpants, skin-tight dresses, or cut-off khakis or jeans, are allowed.
- Skorts are allowed. A skort is a combination short/skirt.
FOOTWEAR
- Safe footwear shall be worn at all times. No rubber flip-flops, slides, or bedroom slippers shall be worn.
- Any sandals/open-toed shoes need to have a back on them.
- Crocs are allowed
JACKETS/SWEATERS/HOODIES
- Jackets/Sweaters may be worn over the polo style shirt.
- Any full-sized jacket or sweater is acceptable.
- Hoodies and sweatshirts are acceptable as long as slogan/graphics/writing are acceptable.
HEADWEAR
- Sunglasses, hats, visors, hoods, or bandanas shall not be worn on campus at any time.
- Appropriate hairbands will be allowed for both males and females.
- Headbands for males will not be worn as an accessory, only for appropriate grooming purposes.
- No sport sweatbands will be allowed
BODY ADORNMENTS
- Body adornment (e.g., adornments which pierce flesh) in any visible body part other than the ears shall not be displayed if such display presents a health or safety issue or if such adornment interferes with the educational process in the reasonable discretion of the Principal.
HAIR COLOR
- Hair must be a natural color. If dyed it cannot be blue, yellow, green, red, etc. This includes extensions.
